I cleaned it up more using the lovely cleaner "Lemishine machine cleaner" ! I did something right because it worked. After the long winter, I decided to try a new kit and rebuild again. I rebuilt it wrong :-) haha nor knowing of all the secrets the YF carb has. I rebuilt it last year using a kit but this carb was loaded with rust, debris, and corrosion. Either way I got it to fire for a few seconds to see its possible for it to run after I replaced plugs, wires, coil, points, condenser, and ignition key. the had the condenser out of the distributor, ground strap not attached on the engine, and a few other annoying things. I had to order and figure out what someone else did wrong when they attempted to wire up the ignition components. I also remounted the starter to see if the motor would even turn. I started with draining the oil and cleaning the oil pan. I have the brake and clutch pedal but no linkages etc. It had 3 flat tires, missing everything from the dash but the steering wheel, shifter, hand brake rod, and a sad excuse for a wire harness. He gave it to me as a gift with the intentions of giving me the remaining parts after the move. I acquired this jeep from a neighbor down the street that was moving and could not take the jeep with him.
Kaiser willys jeep serial numbers serial number#
The body serial number makes this a 1963 Jeep Dispatcher DJ3A made in December 1963. I can't find a clear document that states the exact cross over. If anyone can tell me definitively if it's 56337 or 8203. After some additional research my serial number is one of the following.
